Dear all,
We hope you have all had a wonderful weekend - here is another week of updates from us at the Law Society, including the ticket link for our annual Easter Ball. We have also sent a separate email detailing the timeline for the upcoming Election!
Easter Ball Tickets
We are incredibly proud to announce that tickets are now available for our Easter Ball! Dine with us and party the rest of the night away in the second of our yearly balls, with this one being a perfect end to the year. It will take place on the 17th of March, and you can buy tickets and read more information at the link here.
If you have any questions, please email our Social Secretary at zahra.imran.22@ucl.ac.uk.
Cambridge Intervarsity Moot
We are recruiting a team of two mooters to represent UCL in an intervarsity with Cambridge. The moot problem is a criminal law theft problem. The round will be held online, likely on Saturday 9th March.
If you are interested, please submit a 250-word statement of motivation and a Mooting CV. You can submit these here. If you have any questions, please contact our Junior Mooting Officer at tze.chan.22@ucl.ac.uk.
Deadline: 11:59pm, Thursday 29th February
Elections - Meet the Committee
As the year draws to a close, the Election is looming. On Friday 1st March, our members are invited to come and meet the current committee to talk about their roles and experience with elections. If you are thinking of running, this would be a really helpful event to attend. It will take place between 6:00-9:00pm in The Hub. The full election timetable is published in a separate email sent alongside this one.
Disability Panel Reminder
Join us tonight for an insightful and welcoming panel discussion into disability and legal careers and education. The panel will feature representatives from Freshfields, Clifford Chance, and Linklaters. This event is open to all members of our UCL Law community, as it is a vital opportunity to learn, understand, and network.
The event will take place today (26th February) from 6:30pm in the Gideon Schreier LT. You can sign up to attend using the link here.
If you have any questions, please contact our DIO Officer at meral.abibula.21@ucl.ac.uk.
